Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to ensure customers have a positive checkout experience and leave with the best value. You will handle transactions, assist in self-checkout, and support store operations with a friendly demeanor.

Beyond the register, you may help in other departments, stock shelves, and participate in team efforts to serve customers and communities. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.
• Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
