Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas is seeking a friendly, reliable Cashier to handle transactions and assist customers at the checkout. You will greet customers, process payments, and maintain an organized register area during shifts.

The role requires basic computer skills, good math and communication abilities, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience is a plus, but not mandatory, and a valid ID is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
• A valid ID is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using a cash register.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and ensure proper change is given.
• Scan items and ensure pricing is correct.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Bag and/or wrap merchandise as required.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory as needed.
• Follow all store policies and procedures.
