Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a cashier at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. You will perform cashiering duties, handle cash transactions, verify drawers, and provide friendly customer service in the cafe setting.

The role may include general food service tasks and maintaining sanitation standards in dining areas. Weekend and night shifts are available, with a pay range of $15.00–$16.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier experience required.
• Location: Wayne State College – 1111 Main Street, Wayne, NE 68787. Online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time; days and hours may vary. Weekend and night shifts are available.
• Pay Range: $15.00 per hour to $16.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other forms of payment; issues receipts.
• Follows procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Keeps cash drawer compliant with overage/shortage standards and handles change funds.
