Job summary

Synergy Flavors Innova, LLC is hiring a FRH Operator to manufacture our FRH products in a Chicago production facility. You will follow GMPs, operate reactors and ovens, and ensure packaging meets specifications.

This is a 3rd shift onsite role offering starting pay of $19.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. You will participate in batch sampling, safety procedures, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and use scales accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect line equipment to ensure proper conditions.
• Follow reaction and oven drying instructions to meet specifications.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, and manage piping efficiently.
• Monitor temperatures and batch reactions to ensure consistency.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task under pressure.
• Sample and test batches and document results.
• Follow CIP and cleaning sanitation guidelines.
• Complete batch sheets and related paperwork accurately.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Your Role in Synergy's Success This position is responsible for manufacturing of FRH products in a production manufacturing facility. FRH operators combine raw materials in a reactor, transfer them to trays, dry in ovens, grind, and package the powder. They must follow standard formulation instructions to accurately create powder product that meets specification. Required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed.

How You Will Contribute Job Responsibilities:

• Inspects line equipment and driving equipment to ensure proper working conditions
• Follow reaction and oven drying instructions to ensure we produce product that meets specification.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
• Strictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the reactions.
• Work in a fast-paced environment able to multi-task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible.
• Sample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion.
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
• Filling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded.
• Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
• Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED Preferred
• Must have a general knowledge of workplace safety and quality processes (GMP’s, Allergens)
• Must have acute attention to detail
• Ability to use and read scales, accurate tare and recognize unit of measure requirements.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics (i.e., multiply, divide, add, percentages, etc.)
• Basic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred
• Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
• The employee is required to wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the fit and pulmonary test.
• Effective communication skills to report any safety or quality issue to the Lead or Manager.
• External Candidates preferred to have experience compounding or batching in other industries
• Internal Candidates must show excellent work performance, a willingness to learn in their current role
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Starting Salary : $19.00/HR (more w/ experience) + 10% Shift differential + $1,000 Sign On Bonus

3rd shift Monday - Friday 10p-6:30a

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
