Job summary

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) seeks a fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join and grow spine services in the Fresno region. The role spans outpatient and hospital-based care at Saint Agnes Medical Center, with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will evaluate a broad range of spinal conditions, offer nonoperative and operative management, and build a sustainable spine practice across Central Valley communities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for an unrestricted California medical license.
• Eligible for appointment to the medical staff at Saint Agnes Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating conservative therapies, referrals, and surgical intervention when appropriate.
• Perform orthopedic spine procedures consistent with training, privileges, and scope of practice.
• Provide timely consultations and coordinate care with other care team members.
• Participate in call and hospital coverage responsibilities as needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and spine program development.
• Mentor medical students and residents as applicable.
