Job summary

The coach will assist the head coach, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with CIAC rules and school policies. The position requires Connecticut coaching certification and up-to-date first aid/CPR training, with responsibilities including scheduling contests,

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut coaching certification.
• Updated first aid/CPR training approved by Connecticut State Department of Education.
• Completion of Module 15 – Concussion Management.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of baseball.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in carrying out responsibilities.
• Oversee equipment issuing, collection and storage.
• Know and abide by state and league regulations.
• Assist in scheduling contests and practices.
• Ensure safety and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Prepare for scheduled events and manage facility times.
• Recommend budgetary items for next year.
• Explain team rules and conduct policies to athletes.
