Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• On-the-job training is standard.
• No prior produce or retail experience required.
• Willingness to learn proper produce handling and customer service.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in grocery, retail, or food service.
• Knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and proper storage.
• Experience with stock rotation and inventory management.
• Customer service, attention to detail, teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, and organize produce to ensure quality and freshness, while removing any damaged items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce department to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
• Assist customers by providing product information, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of produce.
• Prepare items for display, ensuring they are attractively presented to maximize sales.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of temperature-sensitive products to maintain quality and safety.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and enhance store performance.
