Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Customer Service Associate for the Perishable Department in Pineville, NC. You will provide fast, friendly service, maintain department standards, and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink.

The role involves receiving deliveries, stocking, and ensuring food safety compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining product levels across meat, dairy, frozen items and ensuring proper labeling and display.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness and deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store appropriately.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunch meat, dairy, frozen, ice cream).
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as needed; assemble, disassemble and clean grinders as required.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines; report accidents per procedures.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice and wear uniform on duty.
