Job summary

WinCo Foods in Oregon is hiring for an entry-level Fresh Foods Associate to assist customers in the Deli/Seafood/Pizza areas, prepare production items, stock shelves, and maintain clean, sanitary departments. You will rotate stock, follow food safety procedures, and support a fast-paced retail environment.

Expect 6–8 hour shifts between early morning and late evening, with flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and safety certifications are provided to all associates.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills with customers.
• Visual inspections and reading production guides/labels.
• Perform basic math and measurements.
• Wear protective equipment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, and thanks customers with a friendly attitude.
• Takes orders, answers questions, and performs suggestive selling.
• Prepares and rotates products in Deli/Seafood/Pizza areas.
• Produces items according to recipes and safety procedures.
• Handles frozen products and inspects quality and freshness.
• Maintains cleanliness of department equipment and work areas.
