Job summary

H-E-B in Houston is hiring a Perishable Representative to keep the department well-stocked and inviting while delivering outstanding customer service. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily, rotate stock, and maintain food safety standards across displays and equipment.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow SOPs, with flexibility to assist in Aguas, Floral, Market, Produce and Seafood as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with Telxon, ACR, and label machines preferred.
• Ability to read and write clearly and plan/organize work.
• Must be able to lift and move items as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service.
• Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person.
• Answers questions and assists with product selections.
• Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product daily.
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases and maintains sanitation standards.
• Rotates stock and maintains signage.
• Uses price labeling and assists with department sales.
• Assists in multiple areas such as Aguas, Floral, Market, Produce and Seafood as needed.
