Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and keep displays fresh and inviting.

You will stock, rotate, and merchandise products to meet standards, use technology to complete tasks efficiently, and follow food safety and quality procedures. This role supports multiple departments, including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, across shifts.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
• Applicant must be able to work a shift from 2:00pm -10:00pm.
• Applicants must have weekend availability and flexible weekday availability.
• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
