Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in our Fresh departments. You’ll build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and maintain clean, inviting displays across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

We value a friendly, customer-first mindset, strong communication, and the ability to follow safety standards while staying active in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
• Every shift, help keep the store running smoothly and customers coming back.
