Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Proper, efficient, and safe operation of their shift, to contribute to store profitability.
• Observes work schedule as posted, unless a change is approved by Store Manager.
• Adheres to all City, County, State and Federal laws.
• Operates shift within company guidelines to achieve sales, profits, and maintain standards.
• Performs all duties in a safe, reliable manner.
• Completes an incident report for all employee/customer accidents or property damage on the premises.
• Completes shift change checklist according to guidelines.
• Records information as warranted in the store communication log
• Stays familiar with company manuals, bulletins, and other communications.
• Advises Stores Manager of any adverse situations on store performance.
• Prepares a shift change report at shift end per guidelines.
• Records all hours worked and signs timecard.
• Ensures proper sale and accounting of all merchandise during shift.
• Gives customers prompt and courteous service.
• Maintains personal appearance per Employee Handbook.
• Wears company uniform and name badge on duty.
• Greets customers with a smile and friendly acknowledgment.
• Rings merchandise promptly, returns change, offers receipt.
• Helps customers as needed.
• Reminds customers of specials when appropriate.
• Expresses appreciation to customers.
• Handles customer complaints per guidelines.
• Controls cash and inventory on shift per guidelines.
• Protects company assets at all times.
• Brings to attention damaged or spoiled merchandise to Store Manager.
• Keeps coolers and shelves stocked and fronted.
• Ensures customer area is clean and stocked.
• Keeps checkout area clean and clutter-free.
• Uses correct pricing for all merchandise.
• Keeps store clean.
• Checks refrigeration units for proper temperature.
• Cleans windows, doors, floors, shelves, counters, pumps; checks pumps for leakage.
• Contacts service department after hours for issues.
• Ensures standards of operations are met and training completed.
• Follows procedures for storing, preparing, cooking, displaying, serving and accounting for product during shift.
