Job summary

Love's Travel Stops seeks a Fresh Food Manager to oversee the kitchen's daily operations, ensure quality, safety, and timely preparation of fresh foods, and drive customer satisfaction. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and work with leadership to optimize sales and efficiency.

You will mentor staff, uphold food safety standards, and use reporting tools to monitor performance, costs, and guest feedback while supporting company growth and a positive culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year food management experience.
• 1+ year budgeting and P&L experience.
• 1+ year supervising 5+ employees.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
• Oversee proper task execution and completion, maintain schedule integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Work alongside team members to prepare and package products in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations.
• Understand financial reporting, which includes profit and loss statements to affect business changes and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Job Functions:

• 1+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising and training 5 or more employees.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.

Skills and Demands:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
• Must be able to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.
