Job summary

Meijer is a family company that serves people and communities. As a Food Clerk, you contribute to a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments by delivering friendly service and product knowledge.

You are encouraged to build positive connections with customers and teammates while helping customers find what they need. You’ll stock, rotate and merchandise products to maintain appealing displays and ensure accurate execution of store standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn store technology and POS systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
