Job summary

Associated Food Stores is seeking a Produce Fresh Cut Clerk to deliver outstanding guest service while preparing fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads for the cut-fruit area. You will help drive sales, merchandise products, and support store management in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food preparation, produce department and retail store preferred.
• Willingness to learn and improve skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding guest service.
• Prepare fresh fruits, vegetables and salads for the fresh-cut area.
• Ensure quality, freshness, selection and adequate quantity to meet sales.
• Comply with all food and workplace safety rules and regulations.
• Use and operate related equipment (knives, scales, pallets, etc.).
• Keep work area, cooler and equipment clean and sanitary.
• Assist in training and developing peers; interact pleasantly with guests.
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards; maintain department appearance.
• Perform duties safely, accurately and with integrity.
• Other tasks as assigned by store/department management.
