Job summary

Charlie's Produce in Anchorage, AK is seeking a warehouse order selector to unload pallets and prepare goods for delivery. You will stack and wrap orders, operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts, and ensure accurate paperwork for every shipment.

The role requires basic math, reliable communication, safety awareness, and the ability to work scheduled shifts with overtime as needed. This is a safety-sensitive position with attention to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have basic math comprehension.
• Must be safety minded.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow detailed task lists.

Responsibilities

• Unloading pallets of products and customer freight from the trucks.
• Place orders on pallets with special consideration to maximizing product care, considering wet vs. dry and frozen goods while utilizing proper stacking to ensure safe transport and delivery to customers.
• Stage completed pallets in loading area.
• Load trucks as determined by delivery schedule.
• Operate power equipment required to execute the essential functions of the position.
• Complete necessary paperwork by recording amounts of items picked.
• Properly palletize and wrap orders for shipping.
• Maintain warehouse and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor, or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must comply with Physical Demands of Order Selector- see second page.
• Ability to work on your own with a detailed list of tasks to accomplish during shift.
• Good communication skills

Tools and Equipment Used: Electric pallet jack (center rider type), fork lifts (both sit down and stand up), clip board and inventory sheets, slip resistant work boots.
