Job summary

Chief of Staff, LLC is seeking an experienced Freight Handler to join the warehouse team. The role involves loading, unloading, and stacking products from pallets, floors, or racks, and following management instructions for daily tasks.

Responsibilities include moving freight to and from docks, sorting cargo, and ensuring safe handling and adherence to company policies. Lifting up to 75 lbs and operating a pallet jack are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience required in a similar role in the warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jack.
• Ability to lift weights of up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Load, unload, and stack merchandise onto or from pallets, floor, or racks by hand.
• Separate merchandise for shipment to warehouse location or according to management’s instructions.
• Maintain integrity of products through proper handling.
• Apply shrink-wrap to pallets of merchandise.
• Transport merchandise directly to shipping as required.
• Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
