Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Inc. in Eagan, MN is seeking a Freight Handler Lead to supervise daily warehouse operations with a safety-first mindset. You will lead by example, ensure on-time performance, and coordinate with the dispatch team to meet daily assignments.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, supervisory skills, and strong communication abilities. This non-exempt, overnight shift runs Monday through Friday from 12am to 8am with biweekly pay and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Previous forklift experience – preferred
• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

• Inspect the dock to make sure it is a clean and safe work environment.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds


• Previous forklift experience – preferred


• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred

Physical Demands

• Must be able to perform frequent squatting and crouching to handle freight


• Must be able to safely maneuver freight/pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart with a force of up to 130 pounds with mechanical aid in various environments/conditions.


• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.


• Must be able to help load and unload full trailers of freight weighing up to 45,000 pounds with mechanical aid.


• Must be able to open and close cargo doors and to climb into and out of vehicles.
