Job summary

Saia is seeking a capable dock/order fulfillment associate to sort and handle freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight, ensuring secure handling and adherence to safety standards.

Key tasks include loading, recoups, rewrapping, and stacking freight, verifying shipments, and following bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Read, write, and comprehend English to perform duties and paperwork.
• Warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in accordance with regulations.
• Use dock tools to secure freight and maintain straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage.
• Load, recouple, rewrap, and stack freight as needed.
• Verify shipments by reading labels and securing freight for loading/unloading.
