Job summary

Legacy Supply Chain in Oswego, IL is hiring a Freight Clerk to provide administrative support for our distribution center. You will handle paperwork for live and drop appointments, process Bills of Lading, and help the operations team ensure timely shipments.

The schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 4:45am to 3:15pm with starting pay of $20.00 per hour and a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour. We offer a competitive benefits package including a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with ability to demonstrate skill in business analysis, and/or a track record in executing company standards successfully.
• Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization.
• Knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory systems, supply chain management, logistics, customer service, reporting, system analysis, equipment and warehouse functionality.
• Proven success in maintaining quality, service and client relationships in a high-paced setting.
• Strong computer skills with proven competencies in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process paperwork for all live and drop appointments prior to appointments arriving.
• Signing of Bills based on quantity received.
• Generate paperwork for add on appointments.
• Account for shortage or damages of product on the BOLs.
• Ensure all Bills are stamped for shipments received and refused.
• Generate paper work for Drop Trailers.
• Ocean and International billing and document tracking.
• Track and report Trailer Dispatches timely.
• Pre-pare all receiving packets.
• Forward OS&D in a timely manner.
• Support Administrative Staff as required.

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Freight Clerk to support our distribution center located in Oswego, IL. As a Freight Clerk, you will provide administrative support to the customer and operations to ensure business requirements are consistently met by maintaining clerical duties on the warehouse floor. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan with up to a 5% company match.

What to expect as a Freight Clerk:
