Job summary

Core-Mark in Hayward, CA is seeking a Warehouse Worker to support shipping and receiving in a fast-paced distribution center. You will operate a stand‑up reach forklift, pick orders, move pallets, and maintain safety and accuracy throughout the shift.

This union‑represented role offers steady pay and benefits under the Teamsters contract. You will work 6:00AM–2:30PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime as required and growth opportunities within a large North American logistics network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 6+ months of experience operating a Stand Up Reach Forklift.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing between 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, pallet wrapping, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Maintains clean and safe warehouse areas; reports unsafe conditions.
• Conducts daily safety checks on forklift and pallet jack.
• Performs damage checks on items received and notifies supervisor as required.
• Picks, packs, ships, or receives goods and completes related paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a union-represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse, Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse.

The Warehouse, Worker performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put‑away, let‑downs, will‑call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
• Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• 6+ months of experience operating a Stand Up Reach Forklift
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• 1+ year of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
