Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in York, PA is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support our distribution center operations. You will perform cycle counts using handheld devices, verify product accuracy, and help ensure SOP adherence across the facility.

This is a 1st shift role, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Compensation starts at $19.28 per hour with paid training and strong benefits, including health, dental and 401k options.

Qualifications

• General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School Diploma required.
• Shift 1st Shift (United States of America) specified in job ad.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts of inventory locations using handheld devices or forms and update the system as required.
• Research and resolve inventory variances.
• Validate dating of product and update records.
• Audit inbound receiving paperwork and SOP adherence.
• Respond to buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse.
• Coordinate handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls).
• Depoly for ICQA lead as needed and assist in workload allocation.
• Monitor activity to ensure efficient operations and resolve issues.
• Review processes to ensure correct execution.
• Work in freezer environments and perform daily required reports.

Inventory Control Specialists assist in this mission by performing the duties of counting and verifying product in the warehouse using handheld devices or forms as well as handling obsolete inventory and validating processes are in place per SOPs. Earn $19.28 per hour 1st Shift Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm 4875 N Susquehanna Trail York, PA 17406

Responsibilities

• Conducting accurate cycle count of inventory locations per handheld device/forms in the warehouse and make system updates as required
• Researching and resolving inventory variances
• Validating dating of product in the warehouse and update as required
• Auditing and correcting inbound receiving paperwork and perform audits of SOP's as required by supervisor
• Responding to buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse
• Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls) to include: identifying, communicating, adjusting and validating product
• Deputize for ICQA lead as necessary for the following areas: Allocation of work between IC reps and specialists
• Monitor activity to ensure work carried out effectively, resolve issues as necessary
• Review processes to ensure correct execution
• Storage reconciliation as assigned
• Being trained on operating system for Inventory Control, will be working all necessary daily required reports.
• Walking several miles a day in and out of Freezer temperatures to complete physical counts and research
• Being a team player and working with minimal supervision
• Being a good communicator

Physical Demands

• What’s a great way to stay in shape? Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Continually walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
