Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Warehouse EHS Supervisor to integrate environmental health and safety into daily warehouse operations, drive continuous improvement, and build a world-class safety culture at the facility. You will lead EHS initiatives, conduct audits and incident investigations, and partner with operations to train managers and hourly associates.

This role requires 2–5+ years in supervisory safety roles in fast-paced environments; ASP and CSP certifications are

• Certification as ASP and CSP required.
• Experience with warehouse safety programs and audits.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide EHS initiatives and promote a world-class safety culture.
• Perform routine audits and investigate incidents and near misses.
• Partner with operations to transfer safety knowledge to managers and hourly staff.
• Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans with operations.
• Manage and report on safety metrics; develop local metrics added to operations.
• Collaborate with workers' comp, medical resources and site safety teams.
• Review hourly associates' safety performance and coaching.
• Administer the Zero In safety program and related trainings.
• Travel occasionally within city limits to support sites.

Position Overview

As a Warehouse Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor, you will successfully integrate EHS into the functional operation of the facility by implementing systems, processes, and procedures to prevent injuries to our associates and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. This leader will focus on EHS continuous improvement; making incremental improvements that target a world class safety culture at their assigned facility.

Job Description

Shift

7am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (times & days may vary based on facility needs)

Eg. Safety training & incident investigation on varying shifts.

• Execute and maintain company-wide EHS initiatives including, but not limited to assigned facility compliance activities. Provide effective solutions to current, and anticipate, the changing business needs to build and sustain a world-class safety culture.
• Actively engage associates of all levels within the assigned facility and perform routine audits and assessments that all help prevent incidents from occurring.
• Provide local EHS leadership by partnering with operational business functions to enable efficient knowledge transfer of key skills to managers, supervisors and employees.
• Thoroughly support the investigation of all incidents including near misses and develop appropriate action plans to mitigate future incidents, and communicate action plans with local operations team members.
• Manage and report on established company metrics while developing local metrics which add value to the operations.
• Partner in relationships with workers compensation, medical resources, Site Safety Manager and Regional Safety to establish systems which provide appropriate care for associates and support the needs of the business.
• Review and evaluate the performance of hourly associates to maintain safety standards.
• Manage the Zero In - Safety Program, administer training for employees and leadership
• Travel Required: Occasionally within city limits.

• Warehouse: Freezer 95% (0F to -20F)
• Warehouse: Dry Grocery 5% (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Basic understanding of warehouse Health and Safety operations.
• Ability to spend 80% of the work day walking a warehouse.
• Ability to coach, mentor and guide varying levels of hourly employees and salaried leaders.
• Strong ability to handle simultaneous tasks of varying complexity.

Preferred Skills

• Athletic Training Certifications (e.g., NASM, ACSM, ATC, or related)
• Bilingual

Years Of Experience

• 2-5: 4+ Years of Supervisory level roles in fast paced business environment, preferably warehouses Shift
