Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a dependable worker to manually stack boxes on pallets for shipping. You will follow specific stacking patterns while ensuring labels face out and lot numbers are visible. Work under general supervision and perform other duties as assigned.

The role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, with a focus on safety and accuracy. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required; training is provided on the job.

ON THE JOB TRAINING

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Work around raw, live animal odors
