Elmura Linguistics Inc. is seeking freelancer interpreters for Spanish (and Creole preferred) to facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages.

Translating and re-communicating verbal and written messages, on a part-time/contract basis, with on-call, as-needed scheduling. Positions involve on-the-road work with multiple locations, on-site settings, and care to maintain accuracy in medical or legal contexts.

Qualifications

• Spanish (Required)
• High school or Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
• Interpretation: 1 year or more (Preferred)
• Medical Terminology: 1 or more years (Preferred)
• Legal: 1 or more years (Preferred)
• Medical or legal Interpretation certificate (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Translate and re-communicate messages between languages (verbal and written).
• Interpret spoken language on-site or on-the-road.
• Support medical or legal interpretation as needed.
