Job summary

Li & Fung is seeking a highly creative Freelance Womenswear Designer to support our Private Label Design team on a project basis. You will partner with the Design team to develop trend-right product by creating sketches, CADs, and production-ready tech packs for key retail customers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of apparel design experience, thrives in a fast-paced private label environment, and can translate concepts into clear design documentation for development and production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
3+ years of apparel design experience, preferably in a private label environment.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
Experience creating detailed sketches, CADs, and production-ready tech packs.
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Design Development: Create original apparel designs aligned with customer requirements, seasonal trends, and brand direction.
Product Development Support: Partner with Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams; communicate design intent through technical documentation for overseas factories.
Trend & Customer Focus: Research fashion trends and market direction; design product aligned with customer expectations and private label objectives.
