Marks, part of the Propelis Group, is seeking a Senior Production Artist for a temporary 8-month 1099 freelance contract in Providence, RI.

The role sits on the production team to develop and execute packaging artworks, collaborating with Design Director, Project Managers, Traffic Manager, Copywriter, Regulatory/Compliance, Proofreaders and the Senior Quality Manager to move files from concept to vendor release.

Job description

• Temporary 8-month 1099 freelance contract position with potential to extend.
• Not eligible for benefits.
• Hybrid located at our studio in Providence, RI. *Cannot be Remote*
• September or October start date with an estimated end date of April 9th, 2027.
• The hourly pay range for this role is $40.00 - $46.78 USD.
• This is a production/adaptive packaging design position (not creative/conceptual packaging design).
• Packaging design experience in private label health care and personal care strongly preferred.

Position Overview

This position will be part of the production team and will develop and execute packaging artworks. You will work closely with the assigned Design Director and cross functional teams including Project Managers, Traffic Manager, Copywriter, Regulatory/Compliance, Proofreaders and Senior Quality Manager in the development of all artwork files through release to vendors. All artwork executions are developed to maintain the integrity of the client approved designs and themes. The Senior Production Artist must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects. You will adapt digital page layout and brand extensions to approved design files using desktop software applications. In addition to your daily responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to conceptual design development initiatives, as defined by Design Director. Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from Design Director and Creative Director about the work that needs to be completed. This role will advocate our culture, brand and community.

Education & Experience Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in a design production role.
