Fox News Live in Washington, DC is seeking a talented Freelance Production Assistant to join our weekend team, helping bring live news to air by cutting and editing video and selecting soundbites for broadcasts.

You’ll collaborate with producers, writers and editors in a fast-paced control room where speed and accuracy are critical, and you’ll perform quality control to ensure every element is ready for air.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in television news or live production.
• Experience with non-linear editing software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and other hours as news coverage requires.

In this role, you'll play a key part in bringing live news coverage to air by cutting and editing video and selecting soundbites for air. You will work closely with producers, writers, and editors in a fast-paced control room environment where speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
