Job summary

Backyard Discovery is seeking independent installation contractors to assemble and install residential outdoor playsets across the lower 48 states. Work is project-based with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed volume of work.

Contractors are responsible for their own tools, transportation, taxes, and insurance, and may work with multiple clients. This 1099 opportunity offers per-installation pay and the freedom to choose projects that fit their capacity.

Qualifications

• Established independent contractor
• Experience with carpentry, construction, or equipment assembly preferred
• Owns required tools and equipment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical, outdoor work
• General liability insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements
• Insurance available through partner for those without minimum liability

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install Backyard Discovery outdoor playsets at residential locations
• Follow manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines
• Communicate with customers regarding scheduling and site readiness
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Document installations as required
