A leading data center service provider in Cedar Falls is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure. The position offers a salary range of $60,000-75,000 per year and includes benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. Ideal candidates should possess strong cabling skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a minimum of 3 years of data center operations experience. This role requires physical strength and capability to work in demanding environments and is conducted on-site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.

Skills

Cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber)

Troubleshooting and problem-solving

Documentation and communication skills

Rack and stack operations

Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)
