Job summary

Liberty Language Services is seeking freelance interpreters for on-site assignments in the Washington, DC metro area, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. You will provide in-person interpretation for healthcare and educational settings, working on a flexible schedule governed by client needs.

Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization, reside in the region, be at least 18, and complete a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training with an English proficiency test.

Qualifications

• Must have valid U.S. work authorization.
• Resident in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia, or Maryland area.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course and an Oral Language Proficiency Test in English and target language(s).
