Job summary

CyberTeck Academy is seeking a qualified Computer Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and reimaging of laptops used in our educational programs. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling with no minimum hours and occasional on-site pickups/drop-offs.

The contractor will work remotely on repairs, coordinate with managers, and ensure secure handling of equipment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Windows 8 and Windows 10 laptops.
• Experience reimaging computers through a network environment.
• Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities

• Reimage Windows laptops using cloning/ghosting software.
• Install missing drivers and software.
• Troubleshoot Windows boot failures and hardware-related issues.
• Test laptops to verify functionality after repair or reimaging.
• Maintain records of laptops received, reimaged, repaired, and returned.
• Pick up and return laptops from designated locations.
• Provide periodic updates on repair progress via email or virtual meetings.
• Handle company equipment securely while in possession.
