Job summary

SOSi is seeking qualified healthcare interpreters to support CareOregon members across in-person, OPI, and VRI assignments. Interpreters may work across service sites and remote settings, with emphasis on Oregon languages and credentialed professionals.

Applicants should maintain current credentials, be able to travel for in-person work, and have a private, quiet workspace with reliable internet for remote duties. All duties require confidentiality and adherence to CareOregon policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Oregon credential is preferred; other medical interpreting credentials may be considered.
• Strong English and target language proficiency with good pronunciation and register handling.
• Ability to provide government-issued ID and complete SOSi background screening.
• Ability to travel for in-person assignments within the service area.
• For OPI/VRI, access to private workspace, reliable internet, and appropriate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, impartial consecutive interpretation between English and target language.
• Support CareOregon members, providers, and sites through in-person, OPI, and VRI assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; observe interpreter boundaries.
• Arrive on time; report delays or issues and follow assignment instructions.
• Maintain credentials and complete required orientation and continuing education.
