Job summary

Pro QC International is seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Quality Inspector to perform product, material, and workmanship inspections at supplier facilities on a 1099 contract basis. The role requires independent work and strict adherence to customer requirements.

You will conduct visual inspections, apply ANSI Z1.4, execute dimensional checks with calipers and micrometers, and document results within 24 hours. Travel to Raleigh and surrounding areas is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Inspector or in manufacturing.
• Experience with ANSI Z1.4 and AQL requirements.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to submit accurate documents within 24 hours.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
• Willingness to travel to Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections for workmanship and defects.
• Inspect products per procedures and standards.
• Apply ANSI Z1.4 and AQL to sample sizes.
• Use calipers and micrometers for dimensional checks.
• Conduct functional testing as needed.
• Verify packaging, labeling and quantities.
• Document results and prepare inspection reports within 24 hours.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and on-site contacts.
• Lift and move items up to 20 pounds.
• Travel to supplier facilities around Raleigh.
