Job summary

Confidential is seeking a highly organized Freelance Design & Product Development Assistant in New York. This part-time role (10–20 hours/week) supports premium active, golf, and tennis brands across design and development, with a hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of apparel design/product development experience and is proficient in Adobe Illustrator. Experience with overseas factories and performance apparel is highly preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Freelance Design & Product Development Assistant to support design and development across a portfolio of premium men’s and women’s performance brands in the active, golf and tennis space. This is a part-time freelance role, approximately 10-20 hours per week, ideal for someone with 3–5 years of apparel design/product development experience who is equally comfortable with creative work and day‑to‑day development follow‑through.

Responsibilities include:

• Tech pack creation, updates and maintenance
• CADs, color-ups and line sheet management
• Factory communication and development follow‑up
• Lab dip, strike‑off and color approval coordination
• Sample/development tracking and general organization
• Customer follow‑up and meeting support

Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essential, along with excellent organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently. Experience with performance/active apparel and communicating directly with overseas factories is highly preferred.
