CETRA Language Solutions is seeking a skilled freelance Bengali–English interpreter to assist patients, families, and healthcare providers across the Philadelphia area during medical appointments. Assignments may occur in hospitals, outpatient clinics, physician offices, and other healthcare facilities; you will interpret accurately, maintain confidentiality, and arrive prepared and professionally dressed.

Assignments may take place in hospitals, outpatient clinics, physician offices, and other healthcare facilities.

• Report to scheduled assignments on time, prepared, and dressed appropriately for the healthcare setting.

• Maintain professional boundaries and follow all facility policies and healthcare privacy requirements.

Required qualifications

• Professional fluency in both Bengali and English.

• Previous experience providing medical interpretation.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and communication in healthcare settings.

• Ability to interpret accurately during sensitive conversations and high-pressure situations.

• Reliable transportation and availability to accept assignments across the Philadelphia area.

Preferred qualifications

• Completion of at least 40 hours of medical interpreter training.

• Interpreting experience in hospitals, emergency departments, specialty practices, behavioral health settings, or similar healthcare environments.

• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality standards.
