Job summary

Marcus Evans Group seeks a dedicated Freelance AV Technician to support our Lead AV Technician at Dallas summits. You will set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment, provide onsite support, and ensure high-quality AV operations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years’ AV experience, can commute to Dallas, and are skilled with LED screens and presentation software. Opportunities for ongoing freelance work with an international team are available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years AV Technician experience
• Experience with LED screens for events
• Ability to commute daily to Dallas event locations
• Experience lifting heavy items during setup/strike
• Strong communication and ability to follow directions
• Experience working with an international team is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment and kits for summit events
• Provide onsite technical support during summits and troubleshoot equipment under guidance
• Maintain equipment handling, storage, and testing procedures
• Adhere to company guidelines and quality standards for AV operations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth event execution
• Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of equipment
• Communicate effectively with onsite team for successful outcomes
• Remain flexible to changing event requirements
• Proactively identify and address potential issues
• Represent the company professionally at all times
