Job summary

FOX News Radio is seeking a technically strong Freelance Audio Network Operator and Podcast Production Operator in New York. You will oversee FOX News Radio platforms, manage live and pre-taped content, and ensure flawless broadcasts with editors and reporters.

You will edit podcasts, adjust sound for guests, insert markers for ads, and post products to the consumer page. A fast-paced environment and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Broadcast experience required.
• Proficient in audio editing software.
• Knowledge of ENCO and Adobe Audition.
• Comfort with live control room operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor outbound & return paths across FOX News Radio platforms.
• Edit and time out FOX News Talk programming for re-feeds.
• Troubleshoot operational, CPU, and automation issues.
• Coordinate reporters for live shots within newscasts and breaking news events.
• Run the control board for live coverage, pre-tapes, and overall production.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and editorial staff in a fast-paced news environment.
• Assist newsroom staffers with technical issues.
• Follow show rundowns to ensure the program runs smoothly.
• Improve FOX News Podcasts by adjusting guests, music beds, soundbites, and ad insertion markers.
