Job summary

Free People is seeking a Senior Allocator to coach and support the allocation team, maximizing sales and profitability through allocation and business analysis to meet financial objectives.

You will lead store-level allocation planning, analyze sales-to-stock ratios, collaborate with planning, buying and distribution, and participate in monthly reforecasts and strategy meetings to optimize assortment and inventory across stores.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed sales and inventory goals.
• Allocate for one or more product classes.
• Develop store sales and inventory plans for assigned categories.
• Analyze sales-to-stock ratios and manage product flow.
• Ensure the right product is delivered to stores at the right time.
• Collaborate with planning to maximize size level opportunities.
• Prepare line plans with style and SKU counts per store.
• Work with cross-functional partners on new store assortment.
• Identify opportunities/risks and trends by product category/store.
• Run size/color selling analyses to guide future buys.
• Coordinate with planning/buying to link performance to upcoming buys.
• Participate in monthly re-forecasts, strategy, and buy meetings.
• Create and manage store plans and communicate with distribution.
• Collaborate with visual team and weekly turnover meetings.
• Provide weekly business updates to DMs and peers.

Role Summary

Free People is looking for a Senior Allocator who will coach, train and support the allocation team to maximize sales and profitability through allocation and business analysis to achieve financial objectives.

Role Responsibilities

• Meeting or exceeding sales and inventory goals
• Allocating for one or more product class
• Responsible for store sales and inventory plans for assigned merchant categories
• Analyzing sales to stock ratios and product flow management-new purchase order and back stock allocations
• Ensuring the right product is delivered to stores at the right time
• Managing a basics business; working with the planning team to maximize size level opportunity
• Preparing to line plan with style and sku count per store
• Working with cross functional partners on new store assortment
• Identifying opportunities and risks, recognizing trends by product category and attribute at the individual store and store group level
• Partnering with planning to run size and color selling analysis to place future size and color buys
• Collaborating with planning and buying to relate current store performance to impact upcoming buys
• Prepping for and participating in monthly re-forecast, strategy, buy meetings, and division roll
• Creating and managing store plans
• Communicating with distribution center as necessary
• Partnering with the visual team and participating in weekly turnover meetings
• Communicating weekly with DM's about current business
• Collaborating with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge
