Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistants to join our teams across multiple Hillcrest locations in Bellevue, Gretna, and Papillion.

No Medication Aide certification? No problem.
Hillcrest offers free Medication Aide training for eligible Personal Care Assistants after 90 days of employment. This gives you the opportunity to start in a hands-on care role, learn our residents and communities, and then continue growing your healthcare skills with support from Hillcrest.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide quality personal care and daily living support while helping residents feel safe, respected, and cared for.
You will:
After 90 days of employment, eligible Personal Care Assistants may complete free 40-hour Medication Aide training through Hillcrest.
Once trained and certified, you may have the opportunity to grow into Medication Aide responsibilities, including:
Assisting with medication administration according to physician orders, care plans, and facility procedures.
Following the five rights of medication administration.
Taking vital signs as ordered and reporting out-of-range results.
Documenting medication assistance, care provided, refusals, and resident changes accurately.
Supporting residents with additional health-maintenance activities under appropriate nursing oversight.

The right candidate will be patient, observant, team-focused, and committed to helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Ideal candidates will have:
A heart for working with older adults and supporting daily care needs.
Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Dementia care, senior living, home care, or a similar setting preferred, but not required.
A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to care.
Strong communication skills with residents, families, nurses, and team members.
Ability to notice changes in resident condition and report concerns promptly.
Strong attention to detail with care, safety, documentation, and follow-through.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
A team‑first mindset and willingness to support others throughout the shift.
Interest in growing into a Medication Aide role through Hillcrest’s free training opportunity.
Comfort using technology and care resources efficiently and effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous Assisted Living, Memory Care, Dementia care, senior living, or personal care experience preferred.
Medication Aide certification is not required to start as a Personal Care Assistant.
Free 40-hour Medication Aide training may be available after 90 days of employment for eligible team members.
