Qualifications

• 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a server-side language: Java; Python or Node.js also valuable.
• Experience with RESTful API design and API integrations.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with server frameworks: Spring MVC, Express or Django.
• Production service contributions: code, tests, deployment, on-call.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools and validating outputs.
• Strong Agile, OO design, and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Interest in fraud prevention, trust & safety, or risk systems.

Responsibilities

• Author, maintain, and optimize fraud rules and policies across real-time decisioning engines.
• Contribute to backend services in the fraud-prevention stack; implement features and integrations.
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate rule authoring and service development with human review.
• Translate policy and analytics requirements into precise rule logic and thresholds.
• Test changes end-to-end and manage safe production rollouts with validation.
• Contribute to engineering quality: docs, code reviews, tests, CI/CD, observability.
• Support monitoring, on-call, and rapid issue resolution with dashboards.
