Job summary

PNC is seeking a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Specialist (Fraud Model Analyst) to own the lifecycle of quantitative models used for detecting fraud. The role requires strong Python/R and SQL skills, data science foundations, and experience validating complex models.

You will collaborate with risk, audit, and analytics partners across multiple locations, including Denver, and may lead and coach modeling teams, guiding best practices and governance throughout model development.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with quantitative models (machine learning and statistics) and model lifecycle standards.
• Strong communication with model users, including governance and risk management partners.
• Leadership to model developers, coaching and remote work oversight may be involved.
• Proficiency in Python or R and SQL; experience with large datasets is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, testing, and validation of quantitative models used for fraud detection.
• Communicate with model users and stakeholders to support anti-money laundering and fraud deterrence.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative assessments of models, including design, data quality, and controls.
• Monitor model performance, identify risks, and drive improvements and governance.
