Job description

Fraud and Intelligence Analyst

You will prevent, detect, and investigate fraud and loss in the business, supporting Group stakeholders with actionable security-related intelligence.

This role is hybrid, requiring travel to our Travis Perkins head office in Northampton at least once a month, with potential for increased frequency based on business needs.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Proactively detect internal and external fraud and loss through data analysis.
2. Provide data and intelligence to support investigations by field teams and other functions.
3. Supply evidence and statements to police and regulatory bodies when required.
4. Highlight trends related to fraud and loss to the business and brands via the F&I Manager.
5. Collaborate with IT and Data Architects to develop proactive reports for fraud detection and other data needs.
6. Assist the F&I Manager in delivering training, awareness, and communication on fraud and loss prevention.
7. Work with external organizations and agencies to combat organized fraud and business crime.

Requirements

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (grades A-C/9-4).
• Deep knowledge of fraud issues, data analysis, and turning raw data into actionable intelligence.
• Technological proficiency with emerging technologies in a commercial setting.
• Strong understanding of crime and fraud.
• Problem-solving skills to address complex fraud and intelligence challenges.
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive, focused on delivery, and maintaining professional ethics.
