Job summary

The Citi Fraud Analytics, Modeling & Intelligence team is seeking a Senior Analyst – Assistant Vice President to apply advanced analytics to detect and prevent fraud across Citi's credit card and retail banking businesses. You will work with data, build rules and models, and present insights to stakeholders.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 3+ years of experience, with SAS/SQL, Python, and Tableau skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Big Data environments and coding in SAS, SQL, Python, Impala, or Hive.
• Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g., logistic regression, gradient boosting).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data and advanced analytics to derive patterns, trends and insights.
• Own and manage fraud rules, scores, and detection strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose data-driven strategies.
• Build relationships within and outside Fraud to ensure timely execution.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities to improve controls and governance.
• Generate and manage regular and ad-hoc reporting.
