Job summary

Accertify, Inc. is seeking a Fraud Analyst to join the Itasca, IL team on-site. You will investigate high-risk e-commerce transactions, detect fraud patterns, and support clients by delivering secure, trusted digital experiences.

You will work with real-time fraud decisioning software, collaborate with industry experts, and communicate fraud trends. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and flexibility for a dynamic schedule, including shifts and holidays.

  • Previous e-commerce fraud prevention/investigation experience preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Strong internet research skills across multiple systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Accertify is seeking a Fraud Analyst who will be on the front lines of protecting businesses and consumers by investigating and analyzing high-risk e-commerce transactions. Your expertise will be key to delivering exceptional digital experiences across industries, ensuring the security and trust that drive success in today’s fast-paced online world. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Identify and prevent fraudulent transactions, powering exceptional client results
  • Work well with a team of industry experts to monitor real-time fraud decisioning software
  • Independently resolve problems that require in-depth investigation and/or research
  • Constantly communicate fraud trends and share best practices with peers and leaders
  • Perform a thorough manual review of queued transactions to determine the likelihood of fraud and subsequently approve/reject said transactions
  • Maintain professional persistence when reviewing transactions or speaking with customers
  • Prioritize work to meet and exceed deadlines and performance goals
  • Report platform issues as they arise and proactively identify potential impacts to clients
  • Ensure the success of Accertify's customers by delivering results daily
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong desire to build a career in the fraud prevention industry
  • Previous e-commerce fraud prevention, investigation, or similar experience preferred but not required
  • Fine-tuned organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills are strongly desired
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Displays confidence in making decisions quickly and independently
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Strong internet research skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems at once
  • Demonstrated experience and/or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including non-business hours, weekends, and holidays
  • English language speaking proficiency required
Additional Details
  • Location: On-site at the Accertify Headquarters in Itasca, IL: 2 Pierce Place, Suite 900, Itasca, IL 60143
  • $24.04 Hour/$50,003.20/yr
  • Flexibility to work a 4x10 weekly schedule (start as early as 6 AM CT (end 4 PM CT) or as late as 2 PM CT (end midnight CT); this will include a one-weekend shift)
  • Training will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three weeks, all onsite at the Itasca, IL office. Following this training, schedules will be determined based on client needs.
  • For the first six months, the position will be entirely onsite at the Itasca office each workday, becoming hybrid (three days in the office, one day working from home) after six months. Accertify reserves the right to convert any and all positions to fully in-office in the future. Additional work-from-office days may be required throughout the year based on client/department needs.
  • This position includes a PTO blackout period during peak season, from November 15th through the end of the calendar year. During this period, no time off requests are allowed.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
