Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Lead in NWK-ROCKAWAY, NJ to guide a team of framers and build strong customer relationships. You will drive custom framing sales, assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions, and model leadership while ensuring SOP compliance and safety.

The role requires coordinating with the Store Manager, managing workload, and maintaining high standards for service and store operations. Nights, weekends, and early shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and policies; ensure store conditions and results.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet role KPI targets.
• Review sales and production workload; build plans and floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory, shrink, and safety programs as assigned.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and participate in Talent Development activities.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations; maintain a positive, respectful store culture.
• Support Omni channel processes and assist customers in locating products and solutions.
