Job summary

Amherst StudioBuilt in Cuero, Texas seeks a Framer I to join our on-site team at the Cuero TX factory. You will perform framing, wall and roof construction, and finish carpentry work using blueprints and standard construction practices.

The role requires physical stamina, safety focus, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ideal candidates have some construction experience or exposure to modular manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; construction experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand 8+ hours.
• Safety practices must be followed at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finished carpentry work on framing projects.
• Frame walls and roofs, layout, sheathing, and sheetrock as required.
• Read blueprints and specifications to guide work.
• Measure, mark lumber, and use transit/lasers/levels for accuracy.
• Operate nail guns, saws, sanders, drills, planers; keep area clean.
• Work and climb ladders/scaffolding; follow safety protocols.

At full capacity, the Cuero facility will create over 250 manufacturing jobs, making Amherst the third largest employer in the area. The StudioBuilt team is comprised of experienced individuals from all trades, working to continuously improve the production process.We are looking for a team player to learn Framing within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience on construction sites or working in a component or Modular manufacturing facility. If you possess the experience and willingness to learn, this is the opportunity for you to get in on the ground floor of a new venture in Modular housing in our CUERO TX factory**.****Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work* Wall framing, Roof framing, layout, sheathing, sheetrock* Works from blueprints, specifications, drawings, and instructions to build.* Measure and mark lumber and other materials* Use transit, lasers, levels* Cut and shape wood, plastic, drywall and/or fiberglass* Oversee that materials and work area are clean and obstruction-free* Proficient in using tools such as nail guns, saws, sanders, drills, planers, etc.* Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding and stairs* Adherence to all safety standards and protocols**Required Skills and Experience*** High School Diploma* Relevant work experience preferred in construction or home building* Able to follow instructions, written and verbal* Follow all safety practices* Able to lift 75lbs* Able to stand for 8+ hours to accomplish work tasks* Able to use the tools and processes for the role* Requires good manual dexterity (hand, arm, and multi-limb coordination)* Able to work overtime as scheduled**Work Environment*** While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to noise, wood products, plastics, lubricants moving mechanical parts and vibration.**Physical Demands*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
