SGS Consulting in New Jersey seeks a lab technician focused on fragrance oil sampling and stock management. You will deliver per business priorities, follow global good laboratory practices, and utilize digital tools to support the perfumer's library.

You will ensure samples meet quality standards, maintain clean workspaces, and participate in LEAN initiatives while adhering to QHSE procedures and safety guidelines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry preferred but not required.
• Experience with sampling, stock management and fragrance oil libraries.
• Familiarity with QHSE procedures and global SOPs; ability to release samples meeting quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Perform manual pours and adhere to global SOPs.
• Manage stock and keep workbench organized.
• Maintain fragrance oil library and ensure materials do not expire.
• Support LEAN projects and lab safety improvements.

SKILLS

• Sampling Stock Management QHSS&E Sampling Compounds fragrance oils as per business priorities and due delivery dates applying global good laboratory practices, standard operating procedures, supported with the digital tools and software's available Delivers the minimum required average of manual pours/day as per the global target and the target defined by the creation lab manager (excluding pours that could have or should have been tasked to the robot, except where specifically authorized)
• Optimizes the number of pours to be done manually when applicable Stock management Keeps the personal workbench clean and organized as per the best practices and optimizes its personal collection of raw materials.
• Keeps the personal collection of raw materials fresh and ensures all expired ones are removed from the personal workbench. Keeps the personal physical workbench collection up to date with the personal collection in digital systems Keeps organized and up to date the collection of fragrance oil related to the perfumer's / oil library.
• QHSS&E Ensures compliance with all QHS&E procedures and proactively contributes to the improvement of lab safety Maintains a clean and well-organized laboratory/workplace Ensures all samples produced meet the quality standards as per the global SOPs before releasing the samples Reports any non-conformance to the laboratory supervisor or manager Continuous improvement and efficiency Adopts a culture of continuous improvement, and actively participates in LEAN projects Operates with a team spirit mindset and supports the colleagues under high workload situations
