Lunar is seeking an experienced Laboratory Informaticist to set up laboratory configurations and optimize workflows in Lunar's AI-powered platform for health systems. You will lead LIS-related configurations, interface rules, and QA processes to ensure accurate, compliant operations.

The role demands roughly 10 years of clinical lab experience across hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and a proven LIS implementation track record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of clinical laboratory experience across hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and related areas.
• Proven track record in leading or supporting LIS implementations or interface builds.
• Deep understanding of laboratory information systems and how to optimize software for performance and usability.
• Knowledge of laboratory coding and terminology standards (LOINC, SNOMED).
• Strong problem-solving abilities in laboratory operations and systems environments.
• Experience in translating complex processes into training materials and communicating with hospital teams.

Responsabilités

• Configure laboratory orders, tests, and specimen rules to fit hospital configurations.
• Bridge traditional LIS workflows with Lunar's platform and ensure user adoption.
• Create training materials and guidance for hospitals on lab ordering, results, and workflows.
• Define and manage laboratory interfaces and result edits, including critical values and reflex testing logic.
• Establish QA processes tailored to customer configurations within Lunar's LIS.
• Review and refine interfaces and workflows with hospital partners and labs.

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Informaticist to help us set up our laboratory configuration and optimize workflows in Lunar as we look to shape the future of healthcare. Come join us and play a pivotal role in this exciting and important mission.

Over the next 6 months, here are some ways you can make an impact:

• Lab Order and Test Configuration: Configure laboratory orders, tests, and specimen rules tailored to specific departments and hospital configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance in laboratory operations.

• Translate Traditional LIS Workflows to Lunar: Bridge the gap between Lunar's next-generation platform and traditional laboratory information system (LIS) workflows, ensuring smooth adoption and user understanding.

• Training and Documentation: Create comprehensive training materials and provide guidance to hospitals, translating complex lab ordering, resulting, and workflow processes into clear and practical resources.

• Interfaces and Result Edits: Define and compile rules for laboratory interfaces and result edits, including critical value flags, reflex testing logic, units, and reference-range mapping. Oversee the setup and testing of these rules within the system.

• Quality Assurance: Configure and establish QA processes within Lunar's LIS and tailor them to individual customer configurations.

• Interface and Workflow Review: Review and refine laboratory interfaces and resulting workflows for each hospital partner, ensuring seamless integration with analyzers and reference labs.

Your Experience:

• Experience: Approximately 10 years of clinical laboratory experience across multiple domains such as hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, etc.

• LIS Implementation: Proven track record of leading or supporting successful LIS implementations or interface builds.

• Product Intuition: Deep understanding of laboratory information systems with the ability to intuitively navigate and optimize software for enhanced performance and usability.

• Laboratory Standards: Deep understanding of laboratory coding and terminology standards (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED).

• Problem Solving: Complex problem-solving abilities in laboratory operations and systems environments.

• Training & Communication: Strong skills in translating complex processes into clear, concise training materials, and communicating effectively with hospital teams at all levels.
